Veneziana with Candied Fruit

Traditional soft Venetian cake, obtained from the slow and natural rising of sourdough. The cake is chock full of candied fruit. It differs from the Venetian Focaccia because of its unique softness due to the greater quantity of butter in the dough and for its crunchy almond and hail sugar topping.

 

Ingredients: type “0” soft wheat flour, sugar, scorze d’ arancia candite 13% (orange rind, glucose-fructose syrup, sucrose, correttore d’acidità: citric acid), butter, yolk d’uovo, eggs, glaze (sugar, coconut oil, almonds, almond flour, wheat starch, rice flour, albume d’uovo in polvere, preservative: calcio propionato), emulsifiers: mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids, honey, natural yeast (wheat), salt, malted wheat flour, natural citrus flavour, natural vanilla bean flavour.

May contains peanuts and soya.
